Pursuing a PhD is both a personal and academic journey. Balancing the demands of research with personal well-being, relationships, and a social life can be quite challenging. PhD students often find themselves stuck in their research, having to advocate for their ideas and trying to effectively communicate with supervisors and peers. These challenges, along with many others, can lead to significant stress.
