This workshop will cover some of the theoretical basis of underwater robotics such as underwater vehicle hydrodynamics, actuation modalities and thruster dynamics, and basic control architectures. Furthermore, two case studies of the control of actual underwater vehicles such as orientation control and autonomous docking will be presented. Lastly, a number of presentations on advanced research topics will be held by several Ph.D. students and post-docs from DFKI.
